[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The American University \u00a0is a university specialized \u00a0and authorized \u00a0in the International & distance learning programs and\u00a0 in according to the stipulations of the university law<\/p>\n

1- Regulations\u2019 Name and date of effect<\/h2>\n

This regulations is called\u00a0 organizing the Distance\u00a0 learning Program- International learning in American University \u00a0and the stipulations and the managerial, Academic and\u00a0 behavioral University systems will be in effect in all field that it\u00a0 is not expressly stated in this regulations.<\/p>\n

2- Legend<\/h2>\n

The words and terms mentioned in this regulations has the same meaning mentioned in front of it unless it the text has another meaning.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The regulations<\/strong> : It is meant here the Law of distance learning Program in\u00a0 American University.<\/li>\n
  2. Distance & International Learning Program<\/strong>: it is one of the studying systems applied by the American University worldwide\u00a0 which uses\u00a0 multi systems in executing\u00a0 it\u2019s curriculums\u00a0 and studying program to\u00a0 acquire scientific degrees beside what is defined by the University Basic systems, so , this system do not required specially\u00a0 to engage full time\u00a0 in the study. and it is implemented according to the specifications of the\u00a0 British Association for Distance International learning \u00a0program which requires to give the student \u00a0full curriculum lectures all over the academic year as well as\u00a0\u00a0 a daily lectures in the university campus in\u00a0 the student’s country or transmit\u00a0 an on line<\/strong> lectures all over the year or provide him with a training aids \u00a0recognized internationally \u00a0, but while we are aware of the\u00a0 quality , we will provide all these academic services to the student in one package.<\/li>\n
  3. Distance study Student<\/strong> : He is the person who has no chance to join the systematically University learning or above inspite that he obtained the required qualification that enabled him to join the program without having a look to the average , age or the graduation year , but it is a prerequisite\u00a0 to complete the general secondary education successfully\u00a0 in legal form in his country<\/li>\n
  4. The University<\/strong> : The American University<\/li>\n
  5. Professor\u2019s Council<\/strong> : Meant : The American University \u00a0Professor Council or it\u2019s representative<\/li>\n
  6. The Faculty <\/strong>: The faculty that has the\u00a0 International learning program.<\/li>\n
  7. The Section<\/strong> : any practical unit or center related to any college in the American University \u00a0has the mission of\u00a0 teaching or thesis.<\/li>\n
  8. The Curriculum<\/strong> : It is meant the studying unit (the study book) provided to the International learning program student according to the specialty accepted officially by the university or\u00a0 it’s representative which cope with the university academic prerequisites\u00a0 established and approved in the\u00a0 country of the student or on the International level.<\/li>\n
  9. The Center<\/strong> : It is meant by the location or the coordination office established inside or outside the university which represents the university legally and officially, which the university\u00a0 is implementing through it\u00a0 a special academic\u00a0 programs .<\/li>\n
  10. Academic Learning Committee<\/strong> : It is a committee established by the university Principal or the university authorized Manager tasked to perform the supervision and executing the program inside and\u00a0 and outside the university \u00a0in coordination with the authorized Manager in the\u00a0 student country.<\/li>\n
  11. The allied or participant University<\/strong>: any university\u00a0 \/institute that has an agreement contract with it or\u00a0 an academic twin\u00a0 to utilize\u00a0\u00a0 it’s campus Facilities, professors or it’s academic and administrative cadre for the purpose of executing this program which agreed with it in the student’s country.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    3- Acceptance\u00a0 Conditions<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. Acceptance Conditions for\u00a0 First Year Students\u00a0for Bachelor Degree :<\/strong>\n
        \n
      1. He must obtain the Secondary certificate that\u00a0 satisfies the acceptance\u00a0 conditions in the American University \u00a0or the licensed Universities\u00a0 of the official bodies incharrge of the higher education in the student country or equivalent.<\/li>\n
      2. The student must pass the examination or any examination organized by the university through it\u2019s centers inside or outside if necessary or attain a higher academic interest for the university or it\u2019s students.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      3. Acceptance Conditions for\u00a0 the Years\u00a0 higher than the first year (supplementary):<\/strong>\n
          \n
        1. He must obtain the Secondary certificate that satisfies the acceptance\u00a0 conditions in the international universities\u00a0 or the University of the student country or the participant university or the allied university or equivalent\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 in the\u00a0 concerned specialty or it\u2019s equivalent.<\/li>\n
        2. Spend a studying period on the university level in an acknowledged university, Institute or a college after the general\u00a0 secondary\u00a0 successfully \u00a0that qualify the\u00a0 student to be accepted in\u00a0 an higher year than the first year.<\/li>\n
        3. Specify the section in the concerned faculty or the coordination office or the authorized Manager in the student country of the academic level stated in the paragraph (b-2) , after that determine the year or number of semesters accepting the claimant, curriculums or required hours in condition that it must not contradict\u00a0 with the basic systems and the university regulations but must not less than the third year level, in order to have the students spend half of the established period required to obtain the university degree\u00a0 (Bachelor degree) from the American University.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        4. Acceptance Conditions for\u00a0 the Higher Education (Post Graduate ):<\/strong>\n
            \n
          1. Students will be accepted for study for the Higher Education will be accepted according to the regulations of the American University \u00a0and with the consultancy of what is\u00a0 followed\u00a0 from laws and regulations dominating in the students\u2019 country.<\/li>\n
          2. The student is accepted to the higher diploma for one year after the bachelor degree for a good average \u00a0or\u00a0 satisfactory with an experience \u00a0not less than two years and complete study with curriculum with a complementary research not less than\u00a0 ten thousand words, or the\u00a0 master degree for two years with the curriculum with a complementary research\u00a0 upon graduation not less that twenty thousand words after receiving the\u00a0 first university degree (The Bachelor degree) and it is possible to accept the student to obtain the master\u00a0 degree in one year (Second year) in condition that he must obtain the higher diploma degree for a good average after the first university certificate the bachelor and in both cases, the student performs the complementary research at\u00a0 the end of the second year (graduation year). But for the PhD the study period is from three to five years ( dissertation and thesis \u00a0will be discussed in the student’s country and under the supervision of the university or it’s academic representative<\/li>\n
          3. in case of the students registered\u00a0 for study from out side the university\u00a0 to obtain the PhD degree, the student must have a specialized\u00a0 supervisor\u00a0 assistant in the student’s country as a participant professor\u00a0 in the American University \u00a0but the\u00a0 application of joining the study must include a written approval from the academic supervisor together with a personal statement to the supervisor and a copy of his scientific qualification.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            In case of the Higher Studies<\/strong> :The\u00a0 student submits his research in the dominating and authorized\u00a0 language in\u00a0 his country as a teaching language by the university in it’s applied learning program and in one of the Arabic, English , Indian, French \u00a0or any other \u00a0Languages approved by the university in it\u2019s program.<\/p>\n

            5- In case of the Higher Education through the thesis method<\/h2>\n

            the requirements will be as follows<\/p>\n

              \n
            1. The supervisor must write a periodical report every six months about\u00a0 the\u00a0 student study progress and send it to the University\u00a0 High Education College dean ( for the PhD Degree)<\/li>\n
            2. The student must spend a suitable \u00a0\u00a0a period of time each year with his principal supervisor in the university during the study period in case of the student registered in the International\u00a0 learning program from outside the university \u2013 or the supervisor has to move to his residing place for a suitable period of time specified by the university.<\/li>\n
            3. The study period must not be less than two\u00a0 university years for the Master\u00a0 Degree and do not exceed \u00a0more than four\u00a0 study years, and from three years to five years for the PhD unless\u00a0 excluded\u00a0 by the professors\u2019 council\u00a0 through a recommendation from the \u00a0American University \u00a0Deanery. Or it\u2019s representative.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              6- General Procedures for Acceptance and Registration:<\/h2>\n
                \n
              1. The university council or the Authorized Coordinator \u00a0will determine the number of students planned to be accepted for it from year\u00a0 to another year through \u00a0a recommendation from the academic learning Committee in the student\u2019s country.<\/li>\n
              2. The academic\u00a0 learning Committee or an academic representative from the University or the coordination office in the student\u2019s country (the Authorized manager) will organize the\u00a0 initial acceptance procedures as well as\u00a0 the final registration in coordination with the concerned authorities in the student country \u00a0and the allied university which suits the Laws of the Higher Education and\u00a0 Scientific Research \u00a0in the student\u2019s country intended to execute the program.<\/li>\n
              3. The academic learning Committee or the Authorized Coordinator in coordination and consulting with the Allied Participant University about the beginning and ending period of the acceptance and according to the Academic situation in each country separately.<\/li>\n
              4. Application must be submitted accompanied by the required documents to the University coordination Office (Authorized Manager ) announced\u00a0 for the student\u2019s country during\u00a0 the specified period.<\/li>\n
              5. The study Committee in the academic learning program with a complete coordination with the coordination office and the university authorized Managerand the participant university announces the study schedule, date and place of conducting the examination at the beginning of each study year.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                7- General Regulations<\/h2>\n
                  \n
                1. \n
                    \n
                  1. Distance academic learning is applied in the theoretical colleges only or in the Scientific colleges in some fields or specialties that may complete the applicable aspects inside or outside practically \u00a0such as the computer science under a\u00a0 direct supervision from American University \u00a0and according to the study law in the International learning program issued from the university or it\u2019s coordination office (The Authorized Coordinator ) in coordination and consultation with the participant university to achieve the academic benefit for the student.<\/li>\n
                  2. General regulations for the examinations in the university as well as the \u00a0study methods and evaluation techniques and awarding the degrees according to the university applicable academic regulations and laws.<\/li>\n
                  3. It is permitted to the University president or his representative (coordination office-university authorized manager in the student’s country) according to this program International\u00a0 the specialties that serve the study student in his country after graduation and can cooperate with the academic institutes or a specialized academic from the student\u2019s country to adapt the curriculums that suits these specialties in the\u00a0 same seat country\u00a0 and in the same\u00a0 university language followed in the student’s country and it will be considered authorized from the same university after getting it\u2019s acceptance on that, in condition that it will \u00a0not \u00a0be less than the authorized hours for a complete bachelor degree\u00a0 132 authorized hours (11 subjects annually) and 30\u00a0 authorized hours for the higher diploma degree and\u00a0 33 authorized hour\u00a0 for the master degree and 54 authorized\u00a0 hour for the PhD degree to include the thesis and the possibility of increasing it according to the basis of equalization to the\u00a0 applicable certificates in the student\u2019s\u00a0 country.<\/li>\n
                  4. Examinations for the academic learning students will be conducted according to the schedule selected by the coordination office in the student country and approved by the university learning study<\/li>\n
                  5. The results and grades will be posted by the examination committee in coordination with the coordination office in the student country to be endorsed by the American University learning study Committee.<\/li>\n
                  6. The university has the right to\u00a0 dismiss the student registered in the academic \u00a0study or cancel his\u00a0 scientific degree that he obtained\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 if it is become true that he\u00a0 was admitted based upon\u00a0 incorrect information , and the student will loose his right to be reimbursed any study fees he paid.<\/li>\n
                  7. The university has the right\u00a0 to cancel the scientific Degree obtained through the thesis method if it\u00a0 become true that the student has transcribed another\u00a0 thesis\u00a0 or transcribed a part of another thesis without referring to\u00a0 it\u2019s origin or falsified some of the special data in the thesis.<\/li>\n
                  8. In case the student withdraw after he complete the registration procedures , he has no right to be reimbursed the study fees or any other fees.<\/li>\n
                  9. The St Clements university has the right to authorize it\u2019s\u00a0 centers , inside or outside\u00a0 offices to execute some of the\u00a0 tasks\u00a0 stated in this regulation according to the texts and agreement between both parties (The university and the Authorized Coordinator ).<\/li>\n
                  10. The American University has the right to International or authorize\u00a0 centers or offices for it inside or outside for the academic learning program \u00a0or through the university authorized Manger in the student State of Origin<\/li>\n
                  11. Any\u00a0\u00a0 registration certificate or completion certificate or any other certificates not signed or sealed from the academic learning committee or the university coordination office \u00a0(the authorized manager office in the student country).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    .<\/p>\n

                      \n
                    1. It is the right to the university or it\u2019s representative defer the date of conducting the\u00a0 examinations and the academic activities in case an force majaure \u00a0or beyond\u00a0 of the\u00a0 American University \u00a0control or it\u2019s representative in the student country \u00a0or \u00a0it\u2019s contract will form\u00a0 hazard on the student, but the students must be informed with the new dates for conducting these examination\u00a0 enough time in keeping up their\u00a0 academic rights gained from the university.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      8- REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR REGISTERATION<\/h2>\n
                        \n
                      1. The General Secondary Detailed Degree (Bachelor) or equivalent\u00a0 or the\u00a0 detailed original Bachelor Degree\u00a0 or a certified copy from\u00a0 the\u00a0 Ministry of Higher Education in the student\u2019s country.<\/li>\n
                      2. The original Bachelor Degree or a certified copy from the Ministry of Higher Education in the students country.<\/li>\n
                      3. A copy of nationality evidence (\u00a0 Civil identification card or passport) certified from the official departments<\/li>\n
                      4. seven new\u00a0 photo pictures in the same size of the passport picture ( Name of the student is written on it and\u00a0 certified by the university authorized manager or\u00a0 his representative).<\/li>\n
                      5. Name conformity certificate in case there is a difference among the names mentioned in the certificates or in the student\u2019s documentation but must be certified by the official authorities or the university authorized manager office.<\/li>\n
                      6. A copy of the student curriculum ( related to the Higher studies)<\/li>\n
                      7. Write down the student\u2019s permanent address and provide the coordination office with all telephone numbers and \u2013mail if available to facilitate communications with the students when necessary and the changes in the address or in the telephone number must be notified immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                        9-\u00a0LEARNING SYSTEM<\/h2>\n
                          \n
                        1. The university in executing program follows the annual study system and the\u00a0 semester system if necessary.<\/li>\n
                        2. It is permitted to the university and based upon it’s laws and academic regulations\u00a0 to conduct an assignment examination if that was necessary to serve it’s program and students, whereas the student is tasked with it during the study year other than the final examination, for the purpose of developing the research capabilities and upgrade it’s level in his field of specialty and it is permitted for it to allot\u00a0 a percentage for him ranging\u00a0 between 20-40% from the total average obtained by the student during that year, but the student must abide the conditions and the execution date that will be announced in time in case the university convinced or it’s representative with the necessity\u00a0 of that to keep up the obtaining and academic level to the student in his field of specialty, in this case the assignment research will equal the examination of one semester\u00a0 from each university year studied by the student\u00a0 to get the university degree<\/li>\n
                        3. Learning Language followed: In Arabic, English , French ,Indian Languages or according to the requirements of the program in the student\u2019s country.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                          LEARNING \u00a0PERIOD OF DURATION<\/strong>
                          Learning period of \u00a0Duration will be ranging from (2) two\u00a0 to (4) four\u00a0 years for the Bachelor Degree and between\u00a0 (1) one to (5) five for the High Studies (Post Graduate \u00a0Diploma-Master- PhD).<\/p>\n

                          10- Executing the Academic Programs<\/h2>\n

                          Executing the academic programs for the academic Learning program \u00a0registered students will be performed\u00a0 according to the following means:<\/p>\n

                            \n
                          1. Uses the notebooks , the university curriculums and it will be selected through a specialized academic committee from the university or professors from the student\u2019s country- the allied university and in the same university learning language followed in the student\u2019s country.<\/li>\n
                          2. Uses new and modern educational media (CD, diskette, summaries ,refreshing lectures, and review for a period of two months at least before the final examination date in addition to cast the lectures electronically on line all around the\u00a0 year \u00a0, as well as \u00a0practical exercises for the computer and information technology weekly in the evening\u00a0 period and the holidays under complete academic supervision in present or electronically.<\/li>\n
                          3. Conduct an intensive Instructional\u00a0 programs at the end of the year in the student’s country or any area determined by the university or the coordination office, whereas these program and lectures will be executed\u00a0\u00a0 in the morning and evening times.<\/li>\n
                          4. Systematically Semester studies for the specialties that needs to be conducted under the supervision of the university professors or the coordination office and the allied university \u00a0or others.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                            11- LOCATION OF THE EXAMINATION<\/h2>\n

                            The examinations will be conducted in one of the universities or the university \u00a0faculties or any\u00a0 suitable academic location\u00a0 in the state of origin and it will be\u00a0 coordinated with the university authorized manager \u00a0\u00a0in the student\u2019s country and the allied \u00a0university.
